Cheverly Working Moms
This group serves as an interactive resource for working moms (or dads) in the Cheverly, Maryland area including Cheverly, Landover, Edmonston, and Bladensburg. Relevant topics include childcare and school resources, balancing work and family life, and local family activities available to working parents.
Cheverly Exchange Listserve
Make sure to subscribe to the Cheverly Exchange listserve too. It lets you tap in to the whole of the Cheverly community--not just families with young children--and is an invaluable resource for community news, crime watch, service recommendations, and other announcements.
Other Parenting Groups
Mocha Moms--A support group for mothers of color who have chosen not to work full-time outside of the home. Check out the Northern PG County Chapter for ways to connect.
Moms of Preschoolers (MOPS) of Capitol Hill--This group exists "to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ." Twice monthly meetings are a "play-date" to connect with other moms of children birth through pre-school who are going through the same things you are. There's even child care at the meetings! A number of Cheverly moms are members.
