2009 Playgroup Halloween

Fall Scholarship Fundraiser On October 3rd, the CPRC again sold chicken salad sandwiches, hot dogs, donuts and beverages at the semi-annual Cheverly Flea Market to raise money for our community scholarship fund. The event was a tremendous success, raising $526! A very special thank you to Caroline Jarboe for her tremendous efforts in organizing, and to all our members who donated supplies and worked at the booth!

CPRC Information Table at the Community Market

The CPRC kicked off its membership drive for the 2009-2010 year with a table at the Special Community Market, held September 26th on Cheverly Avenue. We gave out forms, information about the CPRC, and a flier of our scheduled events for the upcoming year while providing the opportunity to join or renew membership on the spot. It was a beautiful day and a great way to connect with so many people in the community.

Tots' Corner at Cheverly Day 2009

For Cheverly Day 2009, the CPRC ran a special Tots' Corner exclusively for children under five (and their parents). It gave little ones a safe place to run and play with toys and art supplies. Kids of all ages could get temporary tattoos or buy juice and chips.

Bowie Baysox The CPRC organized a community trip to see the Bowie Baysox play on May 3, 2009. CPRC members received a $2 subsidy on each of their tickets, and everyone was able to enjoy the game together. We hope to repeat this activity in 2010.

2008 CPRC Holiday Party Potluck

CPRC's 2008 Holiday Party, hosted by Emily Tevault, was a great time! There was music, food, crafts, singing, and a great chance to connect with other families with young children in Cheverly.
