Junior Garden Club

Overview

The CPRC Junior Garden Club is back for the 2024 season! Sign up to have your children learn how to plant and take care of a vegetable and flower garden as well as learn about pollinators and everything else that goes into gardening.

The CPRC has secured a plot at the Boyd Park Cheverly Community Garden in the Old Fourth Ward and will provide seeds and some limited supplies.

There’s a $10 suggested donation per family per season to participate. Sign up and pay reserve your spot below.

How it works

The Junior Garden Club is for kids of all ages. Those aged 11+ can be gardening assistants who will help the younger participants plant, weed, and water the plants.

The club will start seeds in early April 2024 and hold occasional meetings until the beginning of the growing season in May. Meetings will be held every two weeks throughout the summer on Sunday afternoons. All participating families will be able to volunteer for watering, weeding, and other duties through SignUp Genius. Participants are encouraged to bring any extra gardening supplies they may have (e.g., gloves, trowels, etc.) to each meeting.
