Cheverly School Fair
Join your neighbors, fellow parents, school officials, and others at the Cheverly School Fair on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. at the Cheverly Community Center!
Choosing a school, daycare, or preschool can feel overwhelming. This event is designed to help Cheverly families navigate these big decisions by connecting them with parents, staff, and representatives from a wide variety of schools.
Participating Representatives
- District 4 School Board Member: Aimee Olivo
- PGCPS Lottery Office: Representatives will be on hand to answer questions.
- PGCPS Infants & Toddlers Program: Learn about this early-intervention special education program for children 0–35 months.
The CPRC holds this event every other year, so don’t miss your chance to learn about the many options and how to navigate the system!
Call for Volunteers
We need volunteers to make this happen! If you’d like to talk about your family’s experiences, please sign up to represent your school at the fair as soon as possible. It’s a fantastic way to tick off your CPRC volunteer commitment and a big help for families who are considering their options. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, February 15 (one week before the fair).
2026–2027 PGCPS Specialty School Lottery Updates
The 2026–2027 PGCPS specialty school lottery deadline was extended due to weather. Parents now have until Feb. 13 to finish their application. While lottery results won’t be out until spring, this fair is a great opportunity to understand how the timeline works and get a feel for the different school communities. It’s never too early to start thinking about the next cycle and be prepared when it opens in November!
